Good morning ALL🌅. Things are moving and changing quickly and life for ALL of us is changing, too! We can try to prolong it or be in dismay about it .. but it doesn’t change many results. Here’s one of my favorite verses to help me understand LIFE with regards to the ‘curve balls’ .. I cannot hit! >
I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.
Life can turn on a ‘dime’ as the saying goes. What will your response be when life turns on a dime for you❓One phone call, a split second at a traffic light, one day at school ( terrorism is EVERYWHERE), one quick flight in a ‘puddle jumper’, one bike ride or jog in your neighborhood! That ‘TURN’.. can happen! Again, what will your response be❓
It can be that one morning you wake up and you look into the mirror and BAM .. your youth is gone and now you are OLD😏.
I have been young, and now am old;…
Ok, here’s the passage from a familiar Bible character whose life turned on a dime for him and his family! Job’s response should be our response with GOD and JESUS..helping us in LIFE❗️
His love for God is astounding considering he lived in an age before the ten commandments were ever given to Moses. This man’s reaction to life and the change that came suddenly upon him holds great lessons for us today! Years ago Encyclopedia Britannia stated that the Book of Job is the greatest literary work ever written 🤔.. God is GREAT.. He can WRITE✒️✒️✒️😀!
A MUST read for anyone before the final chapter of life is closed. WOW.. his three close amigos (friends) don’t even get it.. sound familiar ❓
Btw .. Job is getting a FRONTAL .. attack by Satan .. granted permission by The LORD.. to pummel Job’s life 😳. Keep in mind, in chapter 42 Job gets blessed DOUBLE for his TROUBLE. He presses on and learns about God and who HE is! Certainly a lesson for us all and Job has given us much to learn from.
Now here’s Job’s ‘classic’ response>>
And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb,
and naked shall I return thither:
the Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away;
blessed be the name of the Lord.
In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.
As the drama thickens, Job’s His wife doesn’t understand either!
His response to her was this>>
But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.
Now read these passages a few times. Let them minister to your heart❤️ . Life is SHORT and with God’s Grace may we not be short with HIM. Job didn’t blame God. Job knew, with his faith in God, that God was in control of his life. and so should we😌🙌🏼.
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Question for ya. DO YOU KNOW❓ Tip: the only way to know is TO KNOW HIM.. like Job knew his God!!
One last verse:
That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
Hope this helps… praying it will🙏🏼.
Love yaz ALL, pastor g❤️😎👊🏼
